Italian Explorers ๐Ÿงญ!!!!

I know it is odd that a blogpost didn’t come out on Saturday. But la mia famiglia (my family) went on a trip. A four day, three night trip!

We live in Rovigo, Italy. We wanted to move once our avvocato (lawyer) gave us the all clear to leave. Our lawyer helping us with our dual Italian citizenship is in Rovigo, so it was convenient that we live in Rovigo too.

We decided we could go for a few days to explore the other amazing cities and ancient landmarks!

So now, I will explain the entire trip as quickly as I can, so this blog doesn’t get boring ๐Ÿ˜‰.

But first, we went to a car rental agency, and picked up a white Fiat.

There is my mom from and my dad from STEAMTeam5!

Here are the links: STEAMTeam5 and GlobalKristen

First up is…. Siena!!!

We went to Siena, but not to sleep. After we looked around the city, we realized it was a little crowded at this time of year. We didn’t want to be here if it had so many tourists sometimes. We still explored a little, then we hit the road again!

Now, we have…. Montepulciano!!!

Montepulciano (in Tuscany) was the first place we went to sleep. My mom and I had a little trouble figuring out who got the bed in the main room ๐Ÿคช!

We explored and liked it a lot.

Hereโ€™s me next to a bunch of pots with cactus-y things in them!

It was beautiful! We didn’t want to live there either because it was extra small and super touristy. We heard so many others speaking English.

Next up is…. Orvieto!!!!

If you paid extra good attention when you read, Orvieto “!!!!” Instead of Orvieto “!!!” good job! We decided something about the place… and you will have to stick around to see what we decided!

Pizza…. I love pizza ๐Ÿ•!

They had an awesome wooden horse!

I loved the pretty view!

Probably the most friendly cat Iโ€™ve ever seen at a cafรจ!

The Dโ€™uomo, an old, old, old, old, old castle!

And finally… Ascoli Piceno!!!

They had an old-timey event, and I got my picture taken with old-timey people!!!

As I promised

We decided that we loved Orvieto (all three of us) and wanted to move there! Again, we will when we can!

Now that I’ve talked about all this pure awesomeness, I bid you farewell! (That’s my old-timey salute!)

I bid you farewell!

A New Schedule!

I’ve decided to keep my blog consistently running!

So, starting from today, I will be posting a new blog for you every week on Fridays and Tuesdays! Which means my next blog will be next week.

Keep in mind, this blog right now, the one telling you my new schedule, is not included in the schedule.

Also, I will be posting at 10:00 am New York time ๐Ÿ™. I’m sorry if it doesn’t fit your schedule, but you can always check it out later!

If something isnโ€™t right about this pic to you, it may be my new glasses chains โ›“!

So, I’ll see you on Friday at 10:00 am New York time!

Rovigo, Italy! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

This blogpost is unlike any other blogpost I’ve written! It’s not a story, but a facts blogpost. If you don’t care for it, I’ll tell you now it is the only one of its kind for now!

Fact 1

You know the things you wipe your mouth with after eating? Yes, napkins. The napkins come out of a dispenser in most cafรจs in Rovigo (and maybe all of Italy?) like at In-‘n’-Out Burger. But, the napkins (almost everywhere I’ve been to) are crazy! They feel like rough sketch paper! My mother and I joke about the napkins.

“Hey, here’s some sandpaper to wipe your mouth!” I’d say.

“Haha, thank you!” My mom would reply.

Fact 2

If you visit Rovigo, Italy, visit Girasole, a pizza restaurant! The first night I was in Italy with my mom and dad, my mom had gone looking for Girasole, which she had seen on Google Maps.

Fact 3

There are sooo many yummy pizza shops around Rovigo!

Rovigo is the first place I’ve been to in Italy. We are trying to get Italian Citizenship, and since we already have American citizenship, Italian citizenship will make us Dual Citizens! And our avvocato (lawyer in Italian) is in Rovigo. So we came to him.

FYI the Lawyer part and Yummy pizza part are attached, I didn’t forget to say fact four.

This blogpost was super short, so a new one is on the way!

Bye all!

FYI I did cut my hair, but the huge change is just my sloppy pigtails!

Bats ๐Ÿฆ‡!!! Post for Homeschoolers!

Baby vampire bat! (Image credit: hairyleggedvampire.jpg)

1. All bats are mammals.

2. Bats are nocturnal, a word that means sleep at day, and are awake at night!

3. Bats can fly better than birds ๐Ÿฆ, because of their long spread-out digits covered with a thin membrane! The membrane in the wings is called patagium.

4. Bats have sort of a bad reputation to some people. It would mean a lot to me if you told your friends about these facts: it could change their minds!

5. Bats urinate and defecate while in flight, which means they pee and poo ๐Ÿ’ฉ in flight! ๐Ÿคข

6. This pic is going to be of a vampire bat! No, don’t be afraid! The mini blood-suckers are not everywhere!! They are just in some places. Now, for the picture!

Many peeps hate (and maybe even are scared of) bats. But, hopefully, this blogpost will change the minds of bat haters and people scared of bats. Just remember one thing: don’t be afraid of them all! If a vampire bat saw this:

They would say:

Let me tell you a story…

A while ago, we were in the Cotswolds housesitting. (See my blog about the Cotswolds.) We looked after a cat. And the cat was indoor-outdoor. One night, the cat brought my dad a surprise… a not-at-all bloody, dead bat!

The next morning, I awoke to instantly inspect it, with a magnifying glass ๐Ÿ”!

Dead bat being VERY closely inspected

This blogpost was really fun, and it took me a while so I hope you liked it!

See ‘ya, Bye ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป!

Halloween Visit with Uncle Kenny ๐Ÿ‘ฑ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

You can see my sneakers, but the costume didnโ€™t have shoes!

My Uncle Kenny is pretty crazy ๐Ÿ˜œ about Halloween ๐ŸŽƒ. He makes his driveway a spooky HAUNTED HOUSE. And I admit, it was very scary. In fact, it was so scary it was fun!

Here is the haunted house in the daytime:

Why was it the best Halloween ever?

1. I got to help! I scared little kids when they walked by me.

2. I got to finally trick-or-treat for the first time!

3. I got to do false-screams, (screams that repeat every 30 seconds, about. If someone hears someone scream, they may run away, not wanting to be scared too, or join the party!)

4. I got to see my Uncle Kenny, my Aunt Yolanda, my cousins Jhase, Deven, and Olivia! And my uncle’s first wife came too, Aunt Gale. She attacked me with kisses ๐Ÿ˜ฝ.

5. I always new I had minor Arachnophobia, but apparently my fear of spiders applies to fake spiders that have motion sensors so they know when you pass by. (I finally figured out they only saw your feet and ankles, so all I had to do was jump up and they didn’t see me! Or, I just run by!)

6. I saw a little kid, about 3 or 4, and he was just passing by my hiding spot (my hiding spot is behind a clown that has a sign on it: free hugz! With blood stains on it. The clown would start saying nice stuff, and then it would lean forward at you! He also had a motion sensor. I jumped out and made a hiss ๐Ÿ˜พ before the clown said anything to a by-passer.) I lunged out, barely touching the kid, making scary fingers…

and hissing. The little kid froze, and ran to the exit of the haunted house. I watched carefully for him to leave, then chuckled.

All Fun and Games!!

They let me help with lots of scaring, but my Uncle always goes all out, so that was fun.

My Uncleโ€™s front yard!!

Funny Fact!

One of the kids my mom saw (she was trying…

to draw people into the tornado of terror haunted house!) was walking up the driveway. He turned, and “noped” right out of there!!

End of Funny Fact!

This was a very, very, very, don’t go away, I have at least ten more very’s to go… very, very…

fun blogpost to write and make!

Oh, before I go…

This is my step-cousin:

Well, see you later!

Bye ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป!

Croatia ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ท and My New BFFs!!

Split, Croatia is a cool place, filled with fun stuff right outside your door ๐Ÿšช!

We are staying in a fun apartment that has a pizza place right downstairs!

Those two people next to me (I’m in the middle) are my new best friends. They are an American family traveling like we are. We met them here in Croatia. Isn’t that cool?!?

Look at the person on the left. That is Nynka. The one on the right is Maria. They are super nice and funny!

They are sisters, but we pretend I’m their cousin. Nynka still wants me to be their sister! I kinda like it!

This picture is of me after running uphill for about one minute. (I like to pretend I’m athletic, but I’m sorta lazy too. The Queen ๐Ÿ‘‘ of whatever, just like cats!)

I taught them how to make a fortune teller, and they tried it, and I believe they enjoyed the craft-lessons!

Here is a sword in glass from a museum. My friends went to the museum and invited us to join, so we did! It was free, too!

The gnocchi must die!!!

I stayed at their house and we made gnocchi. My parents came later for dinner, so we all ate together! They were yummy ๐Ÿ˜‹!

Most of the pictures there are just of us having fun together.

But this one…

is of us doing GLAMOUR POSE! in the picture. However, even though Nynka (the one on your right) didn’t do the fishy-glam pose, her glamour pose is probably the most glamorous and the least fish-girl.

I’m going to miss my friends when they leave next week, but we have plans to meet in Venice, Italy in the spring, which is pretty cool.

I liked making this blogpost about my awesome friends. Bye!
