Ready for the next comic? I bet you are!
Here it is!:
Hey everybody! I hope you enjoyed the first Gussie and Bertie comic!
If you have any ideas for a comic story, don’t hesitate to comment on the blogposts! Suggestions are always welcome!
And now, for the comic:
I started a comic line! Here’s the first one you’ll see. Every day, I post a new story for you to read, starting today! Here’s the first one:
Yeah, this is about what my Christmas is going to look like. Except for the bed head, the pie, the fireplace, the baby playing with a train, the old grandma with a quilt, etc… You probably get the idea. Oh, and the pets. No pets.
Alright, so without all these things, my Christmas might sound a little… lacking. But that doesn’t stop my family from making the most of it!
If you said that this Christmas was going to be strange, I get where you’re coming from. But hear me out!
Since we’re going to be living in a tiny apartment in Italy for the time of Christmas, that means no Christmas tree. Yeah I know, that sounds pathetic. I mean seriously, what’s USA’s favorite holiday without a Christmas Tree?
What are we going to do about this dang Christmas Tree crisis? It’s not like I can just snap my fingers and make it appear! But, I have something similar…
Yeah. Pretty cool, right? I decided to illustrate a picture of a Christmas Tree. I bought some of those little paper star bows that people put on Christmas gift boxes. I have a gold one that we’re going to be using as a star on the Christmas tree. Perfect solution.
Alright, that’s one problem down. The next one to go: Christmas Dinner.
Yes, the kind that fills the room with anticipation and excitement. For me, mostly excitement. But I can’t say the same for everyone at the Christmas Dinner. Especially the chef, who’s probably dreading it.
There’s a tiny little problem with this apartment we’re renting, well, the thing that makes big cooking hard. No oven. No.
We make the most out of the limited kitchen space, especially my mom, the big foodie of the family, (here’s the link to her blog! —> http://kristensraw.com/blog/).
So my mom plans to find a good restaurant in this town, called Martina Franca. It’s in Puglia. And Puglia? That’s the “heel” part of Italy. It’s kinda shaped like a log.
In Martina Franca, we’re in an area called the Centro Storico, which translates to Historic Center. And that area is a pretty nice attraction, which means there are some pretty nice restaurants not far away. 😛😋!
Okay. We’ve got the Christmas Dinner out of the way. One more thing…
My grandparents usually give me money for a gift… not something materialized. And I like that, because it means that no matter what, I’ll be satisfied. It’s not like that scenario where your third aunt twice-removed gives you an ugly, itchy sweater. That, no one likes.
So everybody, I’ve got an announcement: coming out, on Christmas Day, will be a video (on Youtube) where I’ve got to hunt for my presents around the house! And since I don’t know how many gifts I’ve got from my parents, I’ll hide their’s too!
This Christmas is going to be a little hard to pull off and a bit strange, but that’s just another reason to keep being the most positive, friendly, good-attitude family we can be. Having said that, I’m sure it will be the best Christmas ever!
(By the way, here’s a link to my YouTube channel .)
Well, let’s see how this Christmas thing plays out. I’ll be sure to post a blog about what it was like for me! See you soon!
And before I go, I thought I’d share a little Italian tradition… Panettone! It’s like a sponge cake, with raisins and almonds in it. Or, there’s the chocolate kind, with little chocolate chunks in it! My mom got a little mini chocolate one for me!
Okay okay, I’m going now. See you soon!
Hey! What a fine day today, huh? Yes? No? Eh, whatever. I’m queen of Lame introductions!
Today I’m here to talk about a new book. Well, to me. Not so much since-it’s-been-out type of new.
It’s called Warriors: Into the Wild by Erin Hunter!
It is my favorite series right now! I’m currently on the second, and love them so far!
While it’s a good book, it is about cats… and I love love love love love love CATS!🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱
That means it’s EXTRA GOOD!
If you try it and don’t love it, Erin Hunter has other book series!
Like Survivors, one about dogs!
Or Bravelands, one I think has safari and jungle stuff? Don’t quote me on that 😊.
Definitely check them out! I’ve tried the dog series (Survivors) and wasn’t so happy. I had tried the cat series before, but I was too little to understand. I tried the cat series again, starting over in the book completely, and loved it! I’ve never tried Bravelands, but it’s probably pawsome too!
Just so you know, pawsome wasn’t a typo in this case!
It was really fun making this blog, but now I must go. I have to go read more Erin Hunter stuff!
So see you later, bye!
Also, to this day, I’ve continued the series (with a break for other books in between) and I’ve just finished the seventh book. It’s in THE NEW PROPHECY. It’s like another series, but still about the cats!
Some of you already know my name is Kamea. It’s Polynesian, to celebrate my parents’ marriage in Bora Bora! Although, people tend to want to change the name with small variations to fit it into their language. But the Italian way? Oh, this is quite a story!
“Oh, what’s your name, sweetheart?” asked a tall Italian woman in a navy blue jacket and red leggings. She carried a purse of fine leather, and she had her hair tucked into a tight, neat, blonde bun. She had been talking to my dad, and apparently she only noticed me now.
“Kamea,” I said to her, smiling.
“Sorry?” she asked.
“Ka-may-a.” I told her
“Kamilla?” she asked.
“It’s actually Ka-may-a. There isn’t an L.” I said, twirling my hair around my index finger.
“That’s what I said dear. Kamilla,” she said. “That’s correct, right?”
“Uh… sure,” I said. “You can call me that.
This happens a lot, from kids to elders, from dogs to cats, well, I guess animals have an excuse to not be able to pronounce my name.
One of my friends once guessed my name was Hindi 🇮🇳!
Oh, and don’t forget to check out my mom’s blog for more stories about our life in Italy 🇮🇹!

When you hear the word wolf, you think of this:
But when you hear the word dog, you think of this:
(Ok, maybe you don’t think of fruit…)
But do you really think of wolves being dogs, or dogs being wolves? No, you don’t! Uh… right?
But I heard a story… and you will soon too…
These cavemen used to be scared of wolves. But wolves wanted something from humans a lot!
Garbage. From humans. So humans practically made a deal with these fuzzy four legged creatures…
“You protect us, howl at bears, alert us when danger comes, and you can have alllll the garbage you want!” said the cavemen.
“Uh… ruff?” said the wolves.
(Yeah, pretty pathetic right?)
(Please see video 😋)
That’s what it looks like in my head. 100%!
Thanks for watching (sorry, habit from my Youtube channel Gussie Goop…link here —> https://youtu.be/4yIB1pWZYX8 )

Hello! Before I jump into Do You Notice Something Different?? I thought I’d take some time to talk about the schedule.
I know my blogposts have been crazy (not on time), and it’s because of a good reason.
La Mia Familia (my family) moved to an old, Irish ☘️ schoolhouse for the month of June!! (I will write a blog about that later so I can go into more details 😀😀.) Plus, I’ve been super busy. So, I’m sorry about the schedule.
Do you notice something something different?
Maybe this will help….
Did you get it? I bet you did.
(A lot of emojis… I know.)
I know it is odd that a blogpost didn’t come out on Saturday. But la mia famiglia (my family) went on a trip. A four day, three night trip!
We live in Rovigo, Italy. We wanted to move once our avvocato (lawyer) gave us the all clear to leave. Our lawyer helping us with our dual Italian citizenship is in Rovigo, so it was convenient that we live in Rovigo too.
We decided we could go for a few days to explore the other amazing cities and ancient landmarks!
So now, I will explain the entire trip as quickly as I can, so this blog doesn’t get boring 😉.
But first, we went to a car rental agency, and picked up a white Fiat.
There is my mom from globalkristen.com and my dad from STEAMTeam5!
We went to Siena, but not to sleep. After we looked around the city, we realized it was a little crowded at this time of year. We didn’t want to be here if it had so many tourists sometimes. We still explored a little, then we hit the road again!
Montepulciano (in Tuscany) was the first place we went to sleep. My mom and I had a little trouble figuring out who got the bed in the main room 🤪!
We explored and liked it a lot.
It was beautiful! We didn’t want to live there either because it was extra small and super touristy. We heard so many others speaking English.
If you paid extra good attention when you read, Orvieto “!!!!” Instead of Orvieto “!!!” good job! We decided something about the place… and you will have to stick around to see what we decided!
We decided that we loved Orvieto (all three of us) and wanted to move there! Again, we will when we can!
Now that I’ve talked about all this pure awesomeness, I bid you farewell! (That’s my old-timey salute!)
